![]() This hadn't just happened - the rust was quite advanced. There was a lift-the-flaps game on a wall, but 3 of the 8 metal flaps had been snapped off, leaving exposed, rusty hinges. We were less impressed because most of the Postman Pat models had push buttons that were supposed to make the characters move/speak. His eyes lit up and he was SO excited when we arrived. Over £60 for our little boy to see his hero could have been worth it though. Village and looking around, despite what the ticket selling staff tell you. There is nothing stopping you from just wandering over to the P.P. Top Tip: Just buy a House & Gardens ticket. ![]() This seems crazy when the average Postman Pat fan still needs naps in the day and isn't old / tall enough to make use many of the other attractions. We were told quite bluntly, (actually quite aggressively by a girl called Kayleigh on the ticket booth,) that even a 10-minute trip to see Postman Pat had to be an all-day, all-inclusive ticket. We didn't pre-book, so we arrived to find that a 2-hour visit, (just the Postman Pat Village and lunch,) cost us £63(!) There is only the option to buy a ticket for either the house and gardens only, or the whole experience, including all of the animal exhibits, the adventure playgrounds and the drive-through safari. What we didn't account for was that although he got free entry because of his age, we would be forced to buy tickets for every part of Longleat. It saves waiting in queues for tickets.Īs parents of a Postman Pat obsessed 18-month old boy, we thought a trip to see Longleat's Postman Pat Village would be enough to make his day. I recommend for anyone planning it to book up the safari bus in advance and also the train which you can do on line or on the phone. Then there was the singing tree, wow ! With no end of little stalls, like a little Christmas Market, it really was a superb day out. It was very well done and not at all tacky. The House was all done each room as a different pantomime sketch with actors dressed up. There was so much to see we bidn't leave until 7.30 pm. He saw all the children and they had a present. ![]() We all got off the train and walked up through hundreds of fairy lights to find Father Christmas sitting in the house by a lovely log fire. There was a little wooden house all lit up with Reindeers outside and a big fire outside. It went along through the fields at night with the lake alongside and as we rounded a corner it was brilliant. There was also the little train which was magical. Several outlets are available so there was something for everyone. We had a very nice Sunday Roast there and snacks, ice creams, drinks. To see the animals in those surroundings so close to us was unbelievable. This is no longer open.My daughter and son in law treated myself and my husband to a Christmas Special Day which was a wonderful experience for all of us including our 4 year old granddaughter. There are interactive displays and all the characters although there are no rides (if that's your thing) and the village could do with some tlc.
